WITHOUT REMORSE Trailer

They came after the wrong man in Without Remorse, the latest from director Stefano Sollima.

Based on a book by Tom Clancy, the film is an origin story of sorts for John Kelly, a Navy SEAL within the Jack Ryan universe. He’s launched into the world of international espionage when Russian soldiers break into his home and kill his wife. Unfortunately for them, John survives, and in his grief, he embarks on a mission to track down those responsible and bring them to his own form of justice.

The film was originally intended for a theatrical release but the pandemic bumped it to Amazon Prime. You can tell it had loftier things in mind when you look at the people behind it. It features of reteaming of the Sicario: Day of the Solidado director Sollima and writer Taylor Sheridan, the latter of whom takes on co-writing duties here with Will Staples.

That’s an unexpected pedigree for an Amazon Prime action flick, and it extends in front of the camera as well. Obviously, that’s Michael B. Jordan as Kelly, and there’s no one better to handle both the action and pathos the role will probably require. Co-starring alongside him are Jodie Turner-Smith, Jamie Bell, and Guy Pearce.

With such a strong team behind it, Without Remorse just might be one of the more satisfying movies to premiere right in your home.

Without Remorse is directed by Stefano Sollima and stars Michael B. Jordan, Jodie Turner-Smith, Jamie Bell, and Guy Pearce. It will be released on Amazon Prime worldwide on April 30th, 2021.
