UNEXPECTED Trailer

Unexpected

There are so many complexities in life. If there is one thing you may acknowledge as easy though, it’s that you love your kids. On the other hand, you may also acknowledge that it was horrible torture bringing them into this world. Thus, I introduce to you a movie that explores the complex feelings endured during pregnancy that you will never see in a Hollywood film. Inner-city school teacher, Samantha Abbott, navigates the challenges of her unexpected pregnancy. One of her most promising students, also unexpectedly pregnant, develops a bond with her through this experience. The unique thing here is that the subject matter actually delves into female identity. They are not just mothers, but people who are flawed yet beautiful and sincere.

Unexpected is directed by Kris Swanberg and stars Cobie Smulders and Gail Bean. It will be on limited release in the U.S. July 24th 2015 or you can watch it earlier at the BAMcinemaFest on June 23rd 2015. Otherwise you can catch it in Australia at the Sydney Film Festival on June 6th 2015. There are currently no other upcoming release or festival dates available.
