TWISTERS Trailer

There’s a new Twister in town in the action-packed sequel, Twisters.
While it would be understandable to watch the trailer and assume it’s a reboot/remake, Twisters is being called a sequel. From the trailer, obvious similarities scream out, but upon reading a synopsis there are some shifts in narratives.
The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones as Kate Cooper, a storm chaser who has put that life aside after suffering a close call. She meets Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), an internet sensation whose life lives on camera, chasing twisters. While the trailer doesn’t show their backstory, it’s clear there’s a spark between them as she heads back out into the fray. The film also stars Anthony Ramos and Kiernan Shipka.
With multiple callbacks even from this two-minute trailer, one can expect Twisters to try to entertain and charm the same way Twister did. But, can a storm hit the same way twice?
We’ll have to see!
Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, Twisters stars Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Kiernan Shipka, and Anthony Ramos. Twisters will be released on July 19th, 2024.
