THE TIGER HUNTER Trailer
The Tiger Hunter is an upcoming comedy about Sami Malik (Danny Pudi) a young Indian man trying to live up to his father’s legacy in 1970s Chicago. Sami’s father Azeem Malik (Kay Kay Menon) was a highly admired tiger hunter in India leaving Sami with large shoes to fill. Once Sami gets to America, he believes he will become a great man, like his father.
The problem is that he is an immigrant and even though he is an engineer no one takes him seriously leaving him to work jobs that are beneath him. Once one of his American colleagues tells him about the workplace environment and some of the rules he will have to live by to move up in the world, Sami sets out to become a professional American.
Things become even more complicated once the love of Sami’s life, Rubi Iqbal (Karen David) comes to America to meet a number of men her parents want her to marry. Sami enlists the help of his friends from work to fake a successful existence so he can impress Rubi’s parents.
The Tiger Hunter is directed by Lena Khan and stars Danny Pudi, Jon Heder, Rizwan Manji, and Kevin Pollak. It will be released in the U.S. on September 22nd, 2017. For international release dates, click here.
