THE WITCHER: SEASON 3 TRAILER
Henry Cavill will pick up the swords and put on the wig for one last run as Geralt of Rivia in his final season of the hit Netflix show: The Witcher, season three.
It will once again find Geralt protecting his “child of surprise” Ciri, played by Freya Allan with his on-again, off-again love interest and extremely powerful sorcerous Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) helping to lead the charge.
The show is being adapted from the acclaimed book series of the same name, written by Andrzej Sapkowski, by showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who after the first season aired said that she had planned out as far as season seven, and hoped to continue further.
This season finds Geralt and the crew on the run from a new powerful enemy as Ciri (with the help of Yennefer) attempts to get a handle on her newfound abilities. Of course, no season of The Witcher would be the same without Geralt’s trusty bard, Jaskier (played once again by Joey Batey), “toss a coin to your Witcher,” now it’s in your head too–as they try to find a way to escape or to defeat The Wild Hunt.
The Witcher Season 3 stars Henry Cavill (in his final season), Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, Joey Batey, Mimi Ndiweni, and Eamon Farren, with more monsters and magic than you can shake a stick at.
Part one will be released on Netflix on June 29th and consist of the first 5 episodes. Part two (episodes 6-8) will be right behind it, landing on Netflix on July 27th.
