THE REVENANT Trailer

The Revenant

“I ain’t afraid to die anymore.” Especially when you want that Oscar so bad, right Leo? Kidding. Based on the novel by Michael Punke comes this trailer for The Revenant. A frontiersman, Hugh Glass, survives a bear mauling to wreak vengeance on his betrayers, members of his hunting team. On his path, he bears extreme grief over his confidant’s, John Fitzgerald, betrayal. There are so many questions here that need to be answered. The IMDb reference uses redemption to describe Hugh’s goal in one description and vengeance in another. Both those scenarios should be mutually exclusive. You shouldn’t get redemption by hunting down your former friends out of hate. Which is it? Actual readers of the book have a better idea but I’d like to put more responsibility on the people trying to sell the film.

The Revenant is directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy. It has a starting limited release for the U.S on December 25th 2015 with a full release expected sometime in January 2016. For our U.K. cinephiles, the film comes out January 15th 2016.
