THE LAST OF US Trailer

The beloved video game comes to terrifying life in the HBO Max adaptation of The Last of Us.

It’s a post-apocalyptic world after a disease has ravaged humanity, creating hostile individuals as well as an evolution of zombie-like proportions.

Joel (Pedro Pascal) is tasked with getting Ellie (Bella Ramsey), an individual important to humanity’s survival, across the now-dangerous United States. Through their journey, they encounter many threats, and foes, as well as an emotional connection that neither was expecting.

Video game adaptations don’t always fair well, especially when there is a loving fan base who are ready to be quite critical. From the trailer and stills, it seems like this is really trying to bring some iconic sequences to life, and perhaps this will be a real hit. I’m game to give it a shot.

Created by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, and stars Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, and Anna Torv. The Last of Us will premiere on HBO Max on January 15th.
