THE IRISHMAN Trailer

The Irishman is the long-awaited gangster film about the life of labor union leader Jimmy Hoffa (Al Pacino) and the hitman Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran (Robert De Niro) who allegedly killed him. After years of development hell, we’ll finally get to see the film later this year. Earlier this year we were treated to a short announcement video but that was just audio, this time around we finally get to see footage from the film and let’s just say, it’s enough to get excited.

The film features a who’s who of famous former Scorsese collaborators including Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel and Joe Pesci as well as a huge cast of supporting actors such as Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, Domenick Lombardozzi, Stephen Graham, Ray Romano and Larry Romano.

It’ll be interesting to see how well the digital de-aging process, which was a big reason for the huge budget of the film which stands at an estimated $ 160 – 200 million, works. We don’t get to see much of it in the trailer but given the fact people associated with the film have stated about 50% of the film will consist of flashbacks, it had better be good.

The Irishman is directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, Domenick Lombardozzi, Stephen Graham, Ray Romano, Larry Romano, Kathrine Narducci, and Sebastian Maniscalco. It will debut in the U.K. on October 13th, 2019 and in the U.S. on September 27th, 2019. For international release dates click here.
