THE IRISHMAN Trailer

Hey everybody, Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci made a movie together. It’s about kittens.

Could you imagine if they got together to make a movie about kittens? The Irishman is about the mob, obviously. Specifically, it’s about an aging hitman reflecting on his violent life, which may or may not have included killing Jimmy Hoffa. It’s a crime film; it’s an epic; it’s exactly the kind of film you expect these guys to make, and that sets the bar very high.

Outside of the splashy names, the big news about The Irishman is its use of anti-aging CGI, which will allow the three actors to play their characters throughout the entire movie. You see, the story covers the majority of their adult lives, which previously would have required a huge cast with a handful of actors playing the same role. Now there’s this fancy technology, which is generating a lot of press now but hopefully will be unnoticeable in the film.

We’re all crossing our fingers, because we know Scorsese can direct the hell out of this sort of picture, and we know De NiroPacino, and Pesci can act the hell out of it. This is the stuff legendary films are made from, and we’re getting it delivered to our homes via Netflix. That’s right, Netflix landed a Scorsese picture, so we’ll be seeing them at the Oscars yet again. Hopefully.

The Irishman is directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci. It will be released in limited theaters in the US on November 1st, 2019 and in the UK on November 8th, 2019. It will be available worldwide on Netflix on November 27th, 2019.

How excited are you for this film? Would you prefer to see it in theaters or on Netflix? Let us know in the comments!
