THE EXORCIST: BELIEVER Trailer
The series that started the world’s obsession with exorcism is back.
In 1973 The Exorcist took the world by storm becoming one the most frightening pieces of cinema ever created and it holds up to this day. Now with the sixth film in the ongoing series, The Exorcist: Believer, Director David Gordon Green is giving us a direct sequel to the original film. Written by Green and Peter Sattler (from a story by Green, Danny McBride, and Scott Teems) the film is looking to take the series back to its horrifying roots.
In this film that takes place in the present day, years after the original, we find not one but a pair of possessed girls fighting for their lives while their parents try everything to get them to help. All of their research leads them to the most famous case of possession and to the return of the character Chris MacNeil (played again by Ellen Burstyn).
The Exorcist: Believer is directed by David Gordon Green, with an extraordinary cast that includes: Linda Blair, Ellen Burstyn, Leslie Odom Jr, Olivia Marcum, Lidya Jewett, Jennifer Nettles, Ann Dowd, Raphael Sbarge, and EJ Bonilla. The Universal Pictures release is headed our way on October 13th in US theaters. The sequel has already been green-lit and will come out in 2025.
