THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE Trailer

Angry Birds

If Angry Birds games, Angry Birds cartoons, Angry Birds toys and plushies, an Angry Birds theme parks (really, there’s one in Finland, and they have a Space-themed theme park with NASA, if you’ll believe it) and even Angry Birds soft drinks weren’t enough: here comes The Angry Birds Movie. Angry Birds was one of the first and most successful mobile gaming apps, and the Finnish company behind it, Rovio, has been expanding on their franchise ever since.

The gaming company picked Sony Pictures Imageworks to produce the movie, and is directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly, who both have a background in the animation department. Voices for the birds are provided by Peter Dinklage, Jason Sudeikis and Bill Hader. I couldn’t exactly find what this movie will be about, as on IMDb it says “Plot Unknown.” and Wikipedia couldn’t shed more light on the plot either, but I’m guessing it’s got to do something with saving the world from green pigs, and all we know from the trailer is that the birds are rather… angry. Oh snap.

The Angry Birds Movie is scheduled for release in American theaters on 20 May 2016, and will come to the U.K. theaters a few days earlier, on 13 May.

Are you interested in seeing this movie at all? Did you play the games? Do you still?
