Da 5 Bloods is the first great Black Vietnam film, not just the first. It’s a movie whose modern envelope minces empathy and excitement within the unsung sacrifice of the African American soldier.
Waiting for Anya is so beautifully put together and so emotionally executed that it hits you like a gust on a windy day.
With an uninspired script and meaningless dialogue to fill space, Cold Blood is lifeless from the opening moments, failing to live up an action movie or thriller.
