This adaptation of The Call of the Wild doesn’t quite have the same impact as Jack London’s bold portrayal of nature versus man. But it’s hard to decry it all the same.
Lucy in the Sky is an unfortunate misstep for Noah Hawley. It takes his visual style and attempts to transfer it to a story that is as chaotic in tone as the real Lisa Nowak’s criminal activities were.
The horror of the unknown, the horror of David, the horror of The Guest, all trace back to the simple question the film asks us and then leaves to fester: “Who is David Collins?”
