SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Trailer

Spider-Man and Doctor Strange turn the world upside down in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

With his superhero identity revealed, Peter Parker is struggling to integrate his two very different lives. Being the teenager he is, he looks for an easy way out, and irresponsible pal Doctor Strange proves willing to help. He resets things so Spider-Man’s identity was never revealed, inadvertently opening up the multiverse.

With so many big-screen iterations of Spider-Man in existence, this is the perfect place to introduce the multiverse. The trailer teases plenty of returning favorites from Spider-Mans past, including Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, Jamie Foxx’s Electro, and a Green Goblin (unclear who they’re bringing back for this role). But what about the other Spider-Mans themselves? There are no hints in this trailer, and I’m guessing they’ll leave it a mystery until the film opens.

Trying to hold all this together is director Jon Watts, who’s handled the previous two Spider-Man solo movies. All the familiar faces from this iteration return as well, with Tom Holland as the titular hero, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon as Peter’s girlfriend and best friend, and Marisa Tomei as May. The additions from the MCU and previous Spider-Mans are the big draw here, though, as well as the implications of the multiverse for the entire MCU.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is directed by Jon Watts and stars Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Zendaya. It will be released in the US and the UK on December 17th, 2021. For international release dates, click here.
