Film Inquiry Presents SIX RINGS Podcast: Episode 3 Ramblin' & Gamblin' (feat. JD Amato)

This is SIX RINGS – A six-episode podcast recapping ESPN’s The Last Dance, a 10-part docuseries on the legacy of Michael Jordan and the 1990’s Chicago Bulls Dynasty.

Six Rings

It wouldn’t be 2020 unless three guys got together and made a podcast. Well, whether you want it or not, Shawn Glinis, Arlin Golden, and me, Soham Gadre, got together to talk about ESPN’s The Last Dance. In this episode, we have special guest, JD Amato. Keeping with the nature of Episodes 5 and 6, this podcast is more “stream of consciousness”, diving into a multitude of topics leading into other topics. We touch on The Knicks v Bulls rivalry, JD’s history of being a Bulls fan, Arlin’s little rendezvous to MJ’s mansion, and what it means to be Michael Jordan.

The Last Dance Episodes 3 & 4

The long-awaited docu-series on Michael Jordan and the 1990’s Chicago Bulls dynasty has finally arrived. During the 1998-1999 season, Michael Jordan and Phil Jackson agreed to let a film crew follow them around for the entire duration of what seemed to be the last season that the iconic basketball dynasty would stick together. Phil Jackson called this last season “The Last Dance”. The footage was kept in a vault and the only person who could sign off on its release was basketball legend Michael Jordan. Now, more than 20 years later, it has been edited and compiled into a 10-part documentary series presented by ESPN Films. A story of egos, miracles, betrayals, and fadeaway jump shots, The Last Dance presents an unforgettable time in American history where the city of Chicago was the center of the sports universe.
