SENIOR MOMENT Trailer

Moving on is hard in Senior Moment, the latest from director Giorgio Serafini.

There are lots of things you have to give up in life, but the pain is particularly acute when it’s linked to your independence. Independence (and a wild streak) is something Victor has always prided himself on, hence his love of fast cars. So when his driver’s license is taken away he loses an integral piece of his identity along with his ability to whatever he wants. With the support of an old friend and a new flame, Victor must figure out how to live the rest of his life.

It looks like this potentially weighty subject is being handled lightheartedly from the trailer, with the comedy overpowering any serious examination of the situation. And that’s fine because aging shouldn’t have to be a big, scary thing.

With a bunch of movies under his belt but none of them being particularly noteworthy, Serafini seems like the kind of director for hire you expect for such a project. He just needs to put in a workmanlike effort and let his high wattage stars shine because really, most people will come to this to see William Shatner as Victor, Christopher Lloyd as his best friend, and Jean Smart as his love interest pal around. They are the kind of performers who can make a film slide by breezily, which seems to be the tone Senior Moment is going for.

Senior Moment is directed by Giorgio Serafini and stars William Shatner, Christopher Lloyd, and Jean Smart. It will be released in the US on March 26th, 2021. Further release dates are not currently known.
