REBEL MOON Trailer

What do you get when you take a rated R pitch to Disney for Star Wars and have it rejected, then, rework it into your own original story and make it for Netflix? You get Zack Snyder‘s Rebel Moon. Written by Zack Snyder, Shay Hatten, and Kurt Johnstad, Rebel Moon is Snyder’s answer to the universal epic and it’s coming later this year.

Rebel Moon promises big action with space battles and robots, a tyrannical leader as the villain, and a prophecy featuring a young woman from a distant colony that has to gather an army to overthrow the bad guys. Creature design is on high display and everything about this screams that it’s a Zack Snyder picture. From the slow-mo to the framing, the color pallet to the music (once again, Junkie XL), if you like Snyder’s films, this looks like a trip.
