RATTER Trailer
Manon de Reeper is the founder and CEO of Film…
Emma (Ashley Benson), a graduate student living alone in NYC, is being watched by a stalker who hacks into the technology that surrounds her – laptop, cell phone, and other web connected devices. This obsession continues to grow as the hacker records Emma’s most intimate moments. When the thrill of watching isn’t enough, the situation escalates to a dangerous and terrifying level.
Call me paranoid or weird, but movies like these, Mr. Robot, and stories of women in the gamer scene I know who it actually happened to, made me permanently cover my laptop webcam with a piece of paper that I can remove when I want to Skype call, or something. No shame. Better safe than sorry!
Ratter is directed by Brendan Kramer and stars Ashley Benson in the lead. Alongside her star Matt McGorry and Kaili Vernoff. American audiences can expect an online release on March 1, 2016. No other release dates are currently known.
Thoughts? Does the idea that a hacker could look at you at all times through your webcam screw with your head as much as it does with mine?
