PRIMAL Trailer

Primal is the latest in a long string of Nicolas Cage straight-to-DVD films to come out over the last two decades. The volume of films Cage has been involved with is truly amazing. Every time a new trailer hits the internet you wonder, when did he have time to make this?

source: Lionsgate

The plot for Primal is pretty simple, Cage plays a big game hunter who catches exotic animals for zoos and private collectors. On the way back to the U.S. a dangerous war criminal named Richard Loffler (Kevin Durand) manages to escape his cell on the ship. Once Loffler escapes he lets all the animals aboard the ship out of their cages. What seemed like a boring boat ride back home turns into an extremely volatile situation as Cage fights to put all the animals back in their cages before they kill the passengers and crew members. If this plot seems familiar it’s probably because it’s Snakes on a Plane but on a boat. With that being said, Primal looks like another enjoyable if silly Cage vehicle.

Primal is directed by Nick Powell and stars Nicolas Cage, Famke Janssen, Michael Imperioli and Kevin Durand. It will be released in the U.S. on November 8th, 2019 with an as of yet unknown U.K. release date. For international release dates click here.
