It’s great to see Leo in a funny role for once, here in The Wolf of Wall Street. He always plays these stiff, angry, hurt characters. Okay, wolfwallstreetnot always. Catch Me If You Can (2003) is an exception (which, now that I think of it, seems to be a bit of a similar role to this one. Hmmm.) I never would have thought of the combination Leonardo DiCaprio/Jonah Hill, and I’m a little anxious to see how that turned out, but we’ll see.

This movie’s about a big money wolf, a Wall Street stockbroker who made a lot of money (not enough if you’re to believe the trailer). He gets involved in all sorts of corporate bad stuff, and gets involved with the mafia along the way. There’s been a rise in movies covering Wall Street bad guys, and that’s probably because corporate crime – especially some big cases, you know what I’m talking about – have gotten a lot of attention and media coverage, so it’s pretty much on the collective audience’s mind now.

I wonder how they’re going to incorporate the mafia aspect though, they don’t really show anything concrete about that in the trailer so we’ll just have to wait and see.

The ending of that trailer with Matthew McConaughey is so awkward-weird-funny! Really looking forward to see this one. I’m a fan of Scorsese’s work – who isn’t?  He has made some of the greatest crime movies out there.

The Wolf of Wall Street will be released on November 15, 2013 in the U.S..
