PRISONERS Trailer

This post is outdated. Read our review of Prisoners here.

In Prisoners (2013), desperate, tough dad Keller Dover (Hugh Jackman) kidnaps Alex Jones (Paul Dano), the man suspected of the disappearance of his six-year-old daughter and her friend. He tries to get the information from Jones, but the farther he goes, the more he loses himself.

Another movie on the failure of law enforcement. Daddy has to take justice in his own hands to get his daughter back, who, he is prisonersposterconvinced, is still alive. Enh. Perhaps a bit of a tired plotline – Taken (2008), just with a younger daughter (and perhaps a less Bond-like dad). Enh. Hopefully, Prisoners will have some nice plot twists to spice it up.

I have to say I am in amazed by Hugh Jackman once more. He is such a powerful, diverse actor, the contrast with this dancing Hugh is astonishing (and maybe a bit hilarious).  He is capable of playing many different kinds of roles, which I can always appreciate in actors. The force of his performance in this trailer is almost frightening, I think I’d see this movie for that alone.

The Boardwalk Empire Jimmy haircut does look good on Jake Gyllenhaal, doesn’t it?
