We weren’t sure it would happen for a while, but Daniel Craig brings his James Bond back to the big screen in 2020 with the latest instalment in the franchise: No Time to Die.
Almost five years since Spectre, Bond fans around the world eagerly checked out the brand new trailer for what is meant to be Craig’s last turn as Bond. Dropping last week, the trailer promises to bring the same gritty and serious tone as the last four Bond films whilst staying true to the over-the-top and non-stop action that the series at large has become known for (amongst other things). Fans of the enduring classic series should be excited and even those who may not typically enjoy James Bond films may have their interest piqued.
Director Cary Joji Fukunaga is new to the franchise and its hard to say from the trailer what unique calling cards he may leave in the film, but coming off the back of hits like True Detective and Beasts of No Nation, one feels that the film is in good hands. Fukunaga certainly finds himself on an upward trend and no doubt if this film is as remotely as enjoyable as it looks, he’ll be skyrocketed into even greater success.
No Time to Die finds itself packed not just with action, but also an amazing cast. Daniel Craig is joined once again by Cristoph Waltz, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Wishaw, and Léa Seydoux. They also welcome new additions Ana de Armas and Lashana Lynch as well as Rami Malek as this film’s villain.
James Bond 007: No Time to Die is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and stars Daniel Craig and Rami Malek. It will be released in the UK on April 2, 2020 and in the US on April 10, 2020. For full international release dates, please check here.
