NANNY Trailer

A woman who recently emigrated from Senegal takes a job as a Nanny and finds her dreams and reality haunted in this horror debut from Nikyatu Jusu, Nanny.
Aisha (Anna Diop), new to the United States, begins working for a wealthy couple (Michelle Monaghan and Morgan Spector) in New York City. As she spends more time away from her son and works to bring him here, she faces challenges from her new employers as well as a menacing presence that she can’t shake.
I was lucky enough to catch the film at Sundance Film Festival (where it won the Grand Jury Prize) this year and the slow-burn narrative takes its time to show where the horror in the story lies, and with a powerful lead performance, and some unforgettable imagery, it is one to look out for.
Nanny is written and directed by Nikyatu Jusu and stars Anna Diop, Michelle Monaghan, and Sinqua Walls. It will be released in the US on November 13th. For international release dates click here.
