MY POLICEMAN Trailer

The past turns up on a couple’s doorstep in My Policeman, the latest from director Michael Grandage.
Patrick doesn’t simply visit Marion and Tom. The history between them is deep, so much so that they’ve rarely gotten together over the years. So when Patrick does come to see the couple their memories from 40 years ago are dredged up, memories of love, romance, and regret that they all must confront.
It’s hard to have missed the news about this one, because as soon as Harry Styles is cast in anything it becomes the talk of the town. That this has him playing a closeted queer man, the Tom in the middle of Marion and Patrick, only brought the heat to a boiling point, with some praising and others questioning the casting. His acting career is still quite new, making him an unknown quality-wise at the center of this very intimate film.
Co-starring with him is David Dawson and Emma Corrin as the young versions of the central trio and Linus Roache, Rupert Everett, and Gina McKee as the older versions. Grandage, who primarily works in theater, will hopefully bring that medium’s attention to character to this film.
With Styles in a starring role this is sure to get a lot of attention, which it will hopefully take advantage of.
My Policeman is directed by Michael Grandage and stars Harry Styles, David Dawson, and Emma Corrin. It will be released theatrically in the US on October 21st and worldwide on Amazon Prime November 4th.
