METALOCALYPSE: ARMY OF THE DOOMSTAR Trailer

The guys from DethKlok are back but have they returned in time to stop the end of the world?

That’s the question they are hoping to answer in the all new and highly anticipated conclusion to the popular Adult Swim show, Metalocalypse.

Called Metalocalypse: Army of The Doomstar, the direct to digital film stands as the conclusion of the series and the season five that fans never got.

The  description tease from the filmmakers is as follows: “Dethklok frontman Nathan Explosion finds himself traumatized while tasked with fulfilling the prophecy and completing the ultimate songwriting challenge to save the planet.” The film will once again be written and directed by creator Brendon Small who also voices many of the characters, including Nathan Explosion who has been tasked with writing the “song of salvation” to save all of earth.

In addition to Small many of the voice cast we are use to will be returning to reprise their rolls and even take on new characters, including; Tommy Blacha, Mark Hamill, Victor Brandt, and Malcom McDowell, with many many more stopping by.

Metalocalypse: Army of The Doomstar is set to hit both home video and video-on-demand on August 22nd and stay that way for three months before it will debut on Max sometime in November. As of now there is no set date for the Max premiere.
