THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE Trailer

After 29 years and 9 failed attempts this is the year we will finally get to see Terry Gilliam‘s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. At this point it doesn’t even matter whether the film is any good, its legend has already been firmly established. The film has been in development for such a long time there’s a documentary about it (Lost in La Mancha) that came out almost twenty years ago. It seems fitting that a man as possessed as Don Quixote himself should be the one to bring his story to the big screen.

Adam Driver plays Toby, a slick advertising executive who casts an old actor (Jonathan Pryce, who starred in Terry Gilliam‘s 1985 masterpiece Brazil) in one of his ads. Once the old actor becomes convinced he is Don Quixote he drags Toby along for the ride convinced Toby is his trusted squire Sancho Panza.

The Man Who Killed Don Quixote is directed by Terry Gilliam and stars Adam Driver, Jonathan Pryce and Olga Kurylenko. The film had its debut at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. For international release dates click here.
