It’s the 80s, a friendly community, a loving housewife, and then… an ax murder, in the newest adaptation of Candy Montgomery’s story.
Candy (Elizabeth Olsen) seems to fit in her quaint church-going town, happy as a mom and a community member. However, her dissatisfaction with her marriage to Pat (Patrick Fugit) and other secrets set this once-quiet community upside down.
This is the second miniseries in just the last year about this famed murder with the previous release last year starring Jessica Biel. It’s an incident that has continued to draw attention for decades. How will this be in comparison? With a cast like this, it’ll be interesting to see.
Love & Death is directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Jesse Plemons, Krysten Ritter, and Lily Gabe. It starts on HBO Max on April 27th.
