We were given some great films in 2014, yet it was one of the worst years for box office numbers in almost 20 years. Surprisingly almost every genre got a solid entry, it just wasn’t enough to put people in the seats.
There has to be at least Four Reasons People Aren’t Going To The Movies.
And since attendance was down, even the best selling movies couldn’t help boost the Box Office Numbers.
What’s a filmmaker to do? If theater distribution isn’t a cost effective method to reach the masses, maybe others will follow David Cross and release movies in Torrent bundles.
But alternative distribution methods aren’t new, what about The Interview. Game Changer or Chump Change?
What’s a film enthusiast to do? Looks like there might be hope on the horizon. Have you seen the movie list for 2015? Be still my beating heart.
