Leave No Trace is an adaptation of the book My Abandonment by Peter Rock. Will (Ben Foster) is a man who has chosen to leave society behind to live in a national park with his daughter Tom (Thomasin McKenzie). After a while Will and Tom are caught by police officers. Will is a veteran, so the government decides not to push charges against him; instead they decide to give Will and Tom a trailer to live in as long as they don’t return to the park.
While Will and Tom try to make the best of their new life in the city, they have a hard time adjusting to their new surroundings. One can only imagine what it must be like to go from living in a gorgeous forest to being surrounded by cars, people and perhaps worst of all a constant stream of loud noises. As Will and Tom struggle in the city thoughts of returning to the park grow more tempting each day.
Leave No Trace is directed by Debra Granik and stars Ben Foster, Thomasin McKenzie, Dale Dickey, Alyssa Lynn, Dana Millican, Ryan Joiner and Jeff Kober. It will be released in the U.K. and the U.S. on June 29th, 2018. For international release dates click here.
