For a movie based in Chinese lore, it has a staggeringly high number of leading Caucasian actors. Who am I kidding? I still love Dustin Hoffman as Shifu. This is the third movie meant for kids but enjoyed by adults. Young Po faces a new threat taking down all the kung-fu masters. The real focus of this story though is that Po has found his long lost family. Instead of enjoying fun times and making memories, he decides to train them to become the worst thing imaginable, more of him.
Remember the lesson here, folks: Overweight bears with little to no training are more powerful than masters who have trained for most of their lives. Teach your children better.
Kung Fu Panda 3 is directed by Alessandro Carloni and Jennifer Yuh. It stars Jack Black, Angelina Jolie and Jackie Chan. You can take your kids to watch it January 29th in U.S. theaters and March 18th 2016 in the U.K. For the full list of dates, click here.
