Martin Scorsese is back in the director’s chair with a host of his usual collaborators in what can only be assumed will be another instant classic with, Killers of The Flower Moon.
Based on the book, Killers of The Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and The Birth of The FBI, written by David Grann, details a series of murders of wealthy Osage people during the 1920s. Oil deposits were found on their land and when the Osage people were awarded the rights to the oil and the wealth that went along with it, many began turning up dead as greed took hold of some not-so-savory characters.
The film was directed by Martin Scorsese and will star some familiar faces such as; Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Brendan Fraser, and Jesse Plemons. Killers of The Flower Moon is set to release in theaters on October 20th with subsequent streaming sometime down the line on Apple TV+. No streaming date is yet set for the film.
