Sometimes paradise can turn into a living hell, which happens to our couple in Brandon Cronenberg‘s newest, twisted Infinity Pool.
James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) Foster head to the beach for an all-inclusive vacation. When their trip takes a fatal turn they are introduced to a dark and violent side of the resort. Unforeseen circumstances look like our couple is thrust into the center of potentially a death sentence, but if they have the money, they can find a way out. But what’s the real cost?
The trailer is littered with disturbing images and intriguing narratives. Where exactly this is going, I don’t know, but I can’t wait to find out. Cronenberg has proven he’s got his father’s talent, but his own vision.
Infinity Pool is written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg, and stars Alexander Skarsgård, Mia Goth, and Cleopatra Coleman. It will have its premiere at Sundance Film Festival in January and then hit theaters in the US on January 27th. For more international release dates click here.
