Never will I mess around with an angry whale. They’re giants of the sea without any real natural predators. Who would be crazy enough to attack them? The answer is, of course, Chris Hemsworth. Coming to theaters is the historical adventure drama based off the actual sinking of the American whaling ship Essex. An enraged bull sperm whale attacks a whaling ship and strands its crew more than a thousand miles from land. As they try to head for South America, they’re forced to resort to extreme measures to satiate their growing hunger.
In the Heart of the Sea is directed by Ron Howard and also stars Cillian Murphy and Benjamin Walker. U.S. moviegoers get to see it December 11th, 2015 and U.K. moviegoers get to see it December 25th, 2015. For the full list of release dates, click here.
