Sesame Street is one of the most influential kids shows in the world, with good reason. They actually care to teach life lessons that your children can digest with sensitivity and creativity. This documentary focuses on Caroll Edwin Spinney, the great mind behind Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch. If you ever wanted an inside look into the man behind the bird, this is the documentary you need to see. Spinney is 81 years old as of last December, and it’s humbling to realize how influential this man has been in many peoples’ lives.
I Am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story is directed by Dave LaMattina and Chad N. Walker. It features clips including Frank Oz and Jim Hensen. This documentary is already released in the USA but those of the United Kingdom can look forward to it May 1st 2015.
