The animated sequel, How to Train Your Dragon 2, continues the story of Hiccup, voiced by Jay Baruchel, and his dragon companion, Toothless. The Viking town has realized that dragons are friendly and useful; no longer fearing them, rather they have invited them into everyday life. It looks like we’re introduced to new dragons, new and old characters, and actually find out what really happened to Hiccup’s mother.
The film was directed by Dean DeBlois, who co-directed the first How to Train Your Dragon and was also involved in the Disney films Mulan and Lilo & Stitch. I am interested to see if this film will live up to the first as far as comedy, action, and awesome DRAGONS! My expectations for a sequel to an already great film are about as low as a sunken ship. Therefore, I hope to be pleasantly surprised by How to Train Your Dragon 2.
The film will be released June 13, 2014 in the USA and June 27, 2014 in the UK. Click here for the release date in your country.
I’m excited to see this sequel, how about you? Let me know in the comments.
