HONEY BOY Trailer

Shia LaBeouf is one of the most divisive actors of his generation. LaBeouf started out as a child actor appearing on shows such as Even Stevens, The X-Files and ER as well as appearing in films like I, Robot before going on to star in the Transformers film series. LaBeouf‘s work usually doesn’t cause much discussion with fans pointing out his stellar work in films such as Fury and Borg vs McEnroe. Most of the controversy surrounding LaBeouf tends to come from his off-camera antics whether it’s his performance art projects or the multiple instances of disorderly conduct.
LaBeouf wrote Honey Boy as part of a rehabiliation program, basing the film on his own childhood experiences in the film industry. The title of the film is his own childhood nickname. Honey Boy tells the story of a young actor (played by Noah Jupe and Lucas Hedges) and his complicated relationship with his father (Shia LaBeouf). According to early reviews, Honey Boy doesn’t pull any punches, with that in mind it’ll be interesting to see what LaBeouf has to say about the industry or his father whose past is both interesting and disturbing.
Honey Boy is directed by Alma Har’el and stars Shia LaBeouf, Lucas Hedges, FKA Twigs, and Natasha Lyonne. It will be released on November 8th, 2019 in the U.S. with an as of yet unknown U.K. release date. For international release dates click here.

Hi all, I'm a 27 year old Dutchman. I'm a big fan of films and music. I enjoy writing about short films as well as films from the silent era, animated films, (conspiracy) thrillers, independent films, sci-fi and westerns.
