A House is needing exorcising in the new star-studded Disney jaunt, The Haunted Mansion.

Gabbie (Rosario Dawson) is a single mother, moving into a house with her son Travis (Chase W. Dillon), which they got for a bargain. The reason for the steal becomes evident fast when they realize the house is haunted. She seeks assistance from various sources including a priest, a paranormal expert, a psychic, and a historian.

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when starting the trailer, but it actually looks pretty fun. The cast is stacked, the effects look good and it seems like a great mix of horror and comedy. Did we need this? Who knows, but we are getting it.

The Haunted Mansion is written Katie Dippold and directed by Justin Simien. It stars Lakeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, and Owen Wilson. It will be released in theaters in the United States on July 28, 2023. For international release dates click here.
