GOODNIGHT MOMMY Trailer
Manon de Reeper is the founder and CEO of Film…
This might be the creepiest trailer I’ve seen in a while. In Goodnight Mommy, the mother of twin boys (Susanne Wuest) returns home after having had cosmetic surgery. Her head is wrapped in bandages, and the boys get the creeping feeling that she may not who she says she is… Set in a lonesome house in the beautiful German countryside, the two boys, Elias and Lukas (going by their real first names, Elias and Lukas Schwarz), start to uncover a mystery.
Directed and written by Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz, Goodnight Mommy is slightly reminiscent of Almodóvar’s The Skin I Live In (La Piel Que Habito), but that’s not a bad thing. The trailer has been doing the rounds around the web and has been hailed as “the scariest trailer ever”. Do you agree?
So far, Goodnight Mommy has been screened at many film festivals worldwide and gets a limited release in the U.S. on September 11. For other release dates, click here.
Let’s hope the movie lives up to its trailer!
