FINDING DORY Trailer

Didn’t think a sequel to Finding Nemo was necessary, because it was perfect? Tough – Pixar’s doing one anyway, even if it’s been 13 years (!). This time, in Finding Dory, the one to be found is the lovable little blue tang fish with memory issues. Taking place a half year after the events of the first film, Dory (again voiced by the ever-so-expressive Ellen DeGeneres) recalls her childhood memories. She remembers something about “the jewel of Monterey, California”, and accompanied by Nemo and Marlin, she goes to find her family. Along the way, they meet more magnificent sea creatures, like a beluga whale, a whale shark and an octopus, who becomes Dory’s guide.
Did you know the idea that fish only have a three-second memory is a myth? They can actually things for many months. Anyway, with Finding Dory we’ll be treated to another visual spectacle, and I, for one, am looking forward to seeing it.
Returning director Andrew Stanton teams up with Angus MacLane this time, who was an animator for Finding Nemo. Finding Dory stars Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks returns for the voice of clown fish dad Marlin, and this time ’round, Nemo is voiced by Hayden Rolence. Other stars hidden behind bright ocean creatures’ faces are Idris Elba, Diane Keaton and Willem Dafoe.
Finding Dory is scheduled for release on 17 June, 2016 in the U.S., and the U.K. will see its release on 29 July, 2016. For all international release dates, check here.
Do you think Finding Nemo should have gotten a sequel? Are you looking forward to seeing Finding Dory?
