FAHRENHEIT 11/9 Trailer

Donald Trump is in the crosshairs of Michael Moore’s latest exposé, Fahrenheit 11/9.

Covering Trump’s campaign and the beginning of his Presidential term, the film will take a critical look at the man himself and the cultural climate that allowed him to win the election. That should give Moore plenty of fodder to work with, yet despite the endless angles to explore, you can tell the film’s focus will stray to other hot-button topics.

A tanker allegedly containing Flint water appears in the trailer, touching on a situation that is so egregiously awful Moore probably couldn’t help himself. He loves a juicy target, and America’s current political landscape gives him plenty to aim at.

The natural question for any project looking to expose Trump is whether pointing out his faults is an effective exercise. After all, he’s survived scandal after scandal, so is an openly slanted documentary against him really going to make an impact or just preach to the choir? The question is so prevalent that Moore has already addressed it, claiming that his film will be the one to make things stick to the Teflon leader.

Moore can be an unapologetic hype man, so whether the film will be everything he claims should be taken with a grain of salt. Still, his name sells tickets like few other documentarians can, so there’s a chance it could end up being a firebrand.

Fahrenheit 11/9 is directed by Michael Moore. It will be released in the US on September 21st, 2018. Further release dates are not currently known.
