DUMB MONEY Trailer
The unbelievable real life story of how the GameStop stock continued to be expertly shorted while many people lost their minds and others got incredibly rich is explored in Dumb Money.
Recently there has been a huge resurgence in movies based on pivotal times in either: tech, entertainment, fashion, or collectibles. We’ve had, Blackberry, Air, Tetris, and coming soon, The Beanie Bubble, and now Dumb Money.
It was all the talk on Reddit and Twitter while it was happening, people gaming the system and using it to their advantage to get a huge leg up in the world.
The film is being directed by Craig Gillespie (Cruella) and was based on the book, The Antisocial Network, written by Ben Mezrich about the GameStop short squeeze.
The cast is absolutely stacked and includes the talents of; Paul Dano, Seth Rogan, Pete Davidson, Shailene Woodley, Sebastian Stan, Talia Ryder, and Nick Offerman. The film will be distributed by Stage 6 Films and released in theaters worldwide on September 22nd, 2023.
