What does Happily ever after look like? The long-awaited sequel to Enchanted, Disenchanted is finally here and it looks like things are a bit upside down.
We return to see how Giselle (Amy Adams) Robert (Patrick Dempsey) and Morgan (Rachel Covey) are doing. After having a child together they are visited by the pair Prince Edward (James Marsden) and Nancy (Idina Menzel) from Andalasia and given a magical gift.
When they move to a new town, Giselle misses the feel of her old, fairy-tale land and makes a wish. Because, nothing wicked could come from that, right?
The trailer is filled with similar sounds, faces, and gorgeous costumes. Narratively, it looks like a mash-up of many different fairy tale stories. It’ll be interesting to see if it can recreate the magic that the original did so effectively.
Disenchanted is directed by Adam Shankman and stars Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Maya Rudolph. It will be released on Disney+ and in theaters on November 24th. For a full list of release dates click here.
