CHARLIE’S ANGELS Trailer

The ladies are here to kick butt and save the world in the latest iteration of Charlie’s Angels.

We’ve seen a few versions of this female private detective group over the years, originating as a TV series in the ’70s, a couple movies in the early 2000s, and another TV series in the early 2010s. We’ve ping-ponged back to movies now, and while it is retaining the world of its feature-length predecessors, the scope is about to be blown wide open. Before, the group was a simple trio working for a single man. Now the women are part of an international team taking on assignments that have a global impact.

The increased stakes doesn’t mean the series is giving up on fun, though. Co-writer and director Elizabeth Banks wants this to be a celebration of women being large and in charge, and from this trailer you can see she’s going for a lighthearted, comedic tone similar to that of her previous film, Pitch Perfect 2.

Our main angels are led by Kristen Stewart and Ella Balinska as old hats in the company with Naomi Scott joining them to thwart a potentially dangerous technology from getting into the wrong hands. Banks also steps in front of the camera (as if she didn’t already have her hands full) as the team’s Bosley with Djimon Hounsou, Noah Centineo, Sam Claflin, and Patrick Stewart also appearing. The pieces are in place for a fun outing, and now we just have to see if people were waiting for another Charlie’s Angels.

Charlie’s Angels is directed by Elizabeth Banks and stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska. It will be released in the US on November 15th, 2019 and in the UK on November 29th, 2019. For international release dates, click here.
