BLINDSPOTS Podcast Episode 13: THE LAST DETAIL & POETRY
Kristy Strouse is the Owner/Editor in Chief of Film Inquiry,…
Film Inquiry presents Blindspots with Jake and Kristy. In this new podcast series, Film Inquiry staff members and fast friends Jake Tropila and Kristy Strouse will each recommend a film they like that the other person has not seen. They will then watch the other person’s selection and come together to discuss their thoughts and reactions to both films. For those who seek hidden gems and new findings in the world of cinema, this is the podcast for you.
On an all-new episode of Blindspots, our hosts try out a brand new format with a listener-curated double feature! Rather than recommend a film to each other, Jake and Kristy check out a pair of films suggested to them by two listeners, neither of which they have seen. Up first is Paula’s pick, Hal Ashby’s 1973 film The Last Detail, an existentialist drama about two Naval officers escorting a third to prison. Then, they discuss Jerry’s pick, Poetry, South Korean filmmaker Lee Chang-dong’s 2010 film about an elderly woman struggling to keep her life together. All of this excitement and more! And, if you have any films that could potentially be viewed for the show, let us know!
