BLINDSPOTS PODCAST EPISODE #22: WILD AT HEART & KALIFORNIA

Film Inquiry presents Blindspots with Jake and Kristy. In this new podcast series, Film Inquiry staff members and fast friends Jake Tropila and Kristy Strouse will each recommend a film they like that the other person has not seen. They will then watch the other person’s selection and come together to discuss their thoughts and reactions to both films. For those who seek hidden gems and new findings in the world of cinema, this is the podcast for you.

We bake a lot of pies here on the Blindspots Podcast. So far, we’ve had such favorites as the Halloween Four Film Spooktacular Pie, the Troubled Youth Dealing With Parental Issues Pie, the Do Not Watch These Films With The Lights Off Pie, and the Christmas Double-Blind Holiday Extravaganza Pie. This week, we’re introducing a new flavor: The Films Of Adrienne Shelly Pie. For this episode of Blindspots, we celebrate the life and work of Adrienne Shelly, a vibrant and wonderful performer who enjoyed a career as an actress and director. Jake and Kristy get together to talk Hal Hartley’s sophomore masterwork, 1990’s Trust, and Adrienne’s Shelly‘s third directorial accomplishment and final starring role, 2007’s Waitress. It’s a warm and delightful tribute to an indelible artist brought to you for your listening pleasure. Now with more pie.

Music used is Short Skirt/Long Jacket by Cake.
