Film Inquiry presents Blindspots with Jake and Kristy. In this new podcast series, Film Inquiry staff members and fast friends Jake Tropila and Kristy Strouse will each recommend a film they like that the other person has not seen. They will then watch the other person’s selection and come together to discuss their thoughts and reactions to both films. For those who seek hidden gems and new findings in the world of cinema, this is the podcast for you.
In a very Merry episode of Blindspots, Jake and Kristy get into the holiday spirit with another special double episode! First, they each share a Christmas film with each other, in the form of Nora Ephron’s 90’s rom-com, Sleepless in Seattle, and 2017’s British zombie-musical, Anna and the Apocalypse. Then, in an unprecedented move for the podcast, they both cover two films neither of them has seen, with Ernst Lubitsch’s 1940 classic, The Shop Around the Corner, and Arnaud Desplechin’s 2008 familial drama, A Christmas Tale. Wrap yourself up in a warm blanket near an open fire and nestle down with this cozy episode of pure, Yuletide cheer.
