BLINDSPOTS PODCAST EPISODE #22: WILD AT HEART & KALIFORNIA

Film Inquiry presents Blindspots with Jake and Kristy. In this new podcast series, Film Inquiry staff members and fast friends Jake Tropila and Kristy Strouse will each recommend a film they like that the other person has not seen. They will then watch the other person’s selection and come together to discuss their thoughts and reactions to both films. For those who seek hidden gems and new findings in the world of cinema, this is the podcast for you.

Blindspots is back! Our hosts hit the road to check out two films concerning the deranged lives of vicious killers. Up first, Jake introduces Kristy to David Lynch’s Palme d’Or-winning riff on The Wizard of Oz, Wild at Heart, starring Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern as two lovers on the run. Then, Kristy shows Jake the directorial debut of Dominic Sena, Kalifornia, wherein David Duchovny and Michelle Forbes accompany the deadly pairing of Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis on a car trip. Who will make it out alive? All this and more on an all-new Blindspots! NOTE: This podcast is a symbol of our individuality and our belief in personal freedom.

Music featured in the episode includes California by Phantom Planet, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Judy Garland.
