BIG HERO 6 Trailer

Big Hero 6, from the same team of producers that brought us Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph, stars Ryan Potter as boy genius Hiro Hamada and his robot friend, Baymax (Scott Adsit). This trailer is one of the funniest I’ve seen in a while:

While the trailer leaves a lot to the imagination as far as plot-line, Walt Disney Studios gives us a little teaser introducing what we’re in for.

Brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion, a robot named Baymax, Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city. – Source: Walt Disney Animation Studios

I find it intriguing that the city the film takes place in is called “San Fransokyo,” a fusion of Japanese and California culture and technology. I wonder the purpose of this fusion in the movie. The trailer is hilariously clever – appealing to both children and adults with the silly, sarcastic humor. I’m already in love with the squishy robot/balloon-man! And looking at the list of cast members, there are plenty of familiar faces including Maya Rudolph, Alan Tudyk, Damon Wayans Jr., and James Cromwell; I’m looking forward to the multiple portrayals of the 6 heroic characters.

Big Hero 6 will be in U.S. theaters on November 7, 2014 and in the U.K. on February 13, 2015. For the release date in your home country, click here!

How much did the trailer make you giggle? Let me know if you’ll be at the theaters opening weekend!
