BARDO: FALSE CHRONICLE OF A HANDFUL OF TRUTHS Trailer

Alejandro G. Iñárritu returns with his latest film in 7 years, BARDO: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths.

Daniel Giménez Cacho plays a Mexican journalist and documentary filmmaker who returns home. A personal odyssey, Bardo appears to be about the character’s journey of self-identity and dealing with his past. A nostalgic piece, it also shows the Iñárritu mixing drama and comedy, much like in Birdman, to a hopefully successful degree.

It’s quite the title and quite the runtime, clocking in at 2 hours and 54 minutes, but not surprising as Alejandro González Iñárritu does nothing halfway. It looks to be a visually stunning, creatively inspired piece, and from the trailer alone it looks like one man’s existential fever dream.

Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and written by Alejandro González Iñárritu and Nicolás Giacobone and stars Daniel Giménez Cacho and Griselda Siciliani. It will be released in limited theaters on November 4th in the US and on Netflix on December 16th. For more international dates click here.
