BAD MOMS Trailer

Now that women can be as inappropriate as men, we get a comedy about bad moms. Or about raunchy moms? Or expectation-defying good moms? The title must be intentionally misleading, because there’s no way this film will slam the main trio with a harsh judgement like that. I mean, look at how earnestly Kristen Bell takes notes. That’s not a bad mom, it’s just a mom trying way too hard.

And that effort is where the premise for Bad Moms comes from. The rules on how to raise your kids have become innumerable, and anyone trying to follow them all will eventually snap. The moms played by Mila Kunis, Bell, and Kathryn Hahn snap in a classic comedy style: by chugging vodka and making out with other ladies.

Okay, so the exaggerated influence of writers/directors Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (the Hangover series) are all over this thing. It likely won’t be the most realistic look at overworked moms, but it will be ridiculous, over the top, and quite possibly hilarious. Although who am I to say it’s excessive? My last stressful weekend was lubricated with lots of whiskey, and I’m not even a mom.

Bad Moms is directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. It stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn. It will be released in the U.S. on July 29th, 2016 and in the U.K. on September 2nd, 2016. For international release dates, click here.
